What will take place when I meet with the funeral director?  

 

Prior to meeting with the funeral home please contact the church first for verification of funeral date, time and the Pastor’s availability. See ‘Additional Information Needed’.

 

The director will meet with the family and establish the wishes of the family and the loved one. You will be asked to bring information such as social security numbers, insurance information, and information on the loved ones date of birth, place of birth, names of parents, siblings, and a list of survivors.

 

You will be asked to consider the number of death certificates. These must be certified copies from the count (Xerox copies are not accepted). These certificates must be presented to the bank, mortgage company, insurance company, social security, and any other institution. We usually recommend a dozen.
